GA2A Announces “Stand Up for Stand Your Ground” Campaign to Protect Georgia’s Longstanding, Essential Law

Today, GA2A, formerly GeorgiaCarry.org, launched the “Stand Up for Stand Your Ground” campaign, dedicated to protecting Georgia’s longstanding “Stand Your Ground” law.

During the last Legislative Session, Democrat lawmakers introduced a bill to repeal the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law. GA2A, along with its passionate community of responsible gun owners and Second Amendment advocates, is committed to thwarting this effort and preserving the rights of Georgia citizens to protect themselves without fear of prosecution.

“Georgia’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ law is not just words on a statute but a symbol of our right to protect ourselves and our families from imminent, life-threatening danger,” said GA2A Executive Director Jerry Henry. “HB842 would impose for the first time in Georgia history an obligation to run away from an attacker if possible. That’s absolutely insane and we will do whatever it takes to ensure that this legislation never sees the light of day at the State Capitol.”

GA2A invites all Georgians who value their right to self-defense to join the movement and actively participate in the “Stand Up for Stand Your Ground” campaign.
