On Wednesday, Feb 26 at 2:00pm there will be a hearing on HB 472 in the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee. This bill will allow the World Congress Center to ban firearms on their property like a last minute deal threatened last year. This bill would, in effect, overturn our hard fought Supreme Court decision in the Atlanta Botanical Gardens case.

If your representative is on the House Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee, please contact via phone (preferably) or email her or him immediately and ask her or him to keep the bill in Committee and not allow the bill to go forward. If your representative is not on the Committee, please contact her or him and ask her or him to vote against the bill should it come to the floor for a vote. Also, please ask your family, friends and gun friendly neighbors to contact them as well.
Unfortunately, many on the Public Safety Committee have signed on as cosponsors of this bill.

By allowing this bill to pass, the House will be assisting in providing a work around the GA Supreme court ruling in GeorgiaCarry vs. Botanical Gardens.
I urge you to vote against allowing this bill to go to the floor for consideration as it will endanger citizen’s lives and prevent the exercise of an individual’s Second Amendment Rights.
