Convention Itinerary Update:
It is the decision of the Board and the Convention planners that this year’s convention will be a little different this year. In lieu of the fact that it has been two years since we last met in almost any manner and we all went for a little over year without any real communication with our members, we have decided to have a “family outing”, so to speak and spend the weekend just renewing old acquaintances and have a leisure time where we can all relax and enjoy each other’s company.
We will have our Friday evening Texas Hold ’em tournament as always and the Zombie shoot will run continually both Friday and Saturday with winners being awarded on Saturday during dinner. The tentative itinerary is listed below:

FRIDAY – September 10, 2021
- 3:30 – 8:00 PM – Registration Open
- 6:00 – 8:00 PM – Dinner in Ballroom
- 8:00 PM – ? PM – Poker, Zombie Shoot and more
- Adjourn after Poker Tournament – Bar Upstairs open until 1 AM
SATURDAY, September 11, 2021
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM – Registration Open- Fireside Lobby
- 7:00 – 8:00 AM – Breakfast – Fireside Lobby
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Vendors and Zombie Shoot
SATURDAY MEETINGS
- 9:00 – 11:00 AM – “Meet the GeorgiaCarry.Org Board of Directors”
- 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – Life Members – “Lunch with the Board and other Life Members” – Masters Ballroom Upstairs
- 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM – BREAK – Members are on their own for lunch
- 1:00 – 6:00 PM –All membersare free to visit and enjoy outdoor activities at the park or venture into Helen.
SATURDAY EVENING
- 6:00 – 7:00 PM – Pre-dinner Cocktail Hour / hors d’oeuvres / Silent Auction / Zombie Shoot- Fireside Ballroom
- 7:00 PM – Gala Dinner, Emcee Jerry Henry, Live Auction with Professional Auctioneer – Paul Fowler
GALA Dinner Outline
- 7:00 – 7:05 PM – Emcee Jerry Henry will lead the Pledge of Allegiance, the dinner prayer will be offered, followed by welcome to everyone.
- 7:05 – 7:45 PM – Dinner is served – Congressman Andy Clyde may speak to us during dinner – 15 minutes max.
- 7:50 – 8:00 PM – Presentation of awards
- 8:15 – 8:40 PM – Live Auction Part 1
- 8:40 – 8:55 PM – Prizes from contests during the day; Texas Hold ‘em tournament will be presented
- 8:55 – 9:10 PM – Live Auction Part 2
- 9:10 – 9:15 PM – Presentation of door prizes
- 9:15 – Good Evening
Bar upstairs will be open until 1:00 AM.
